Carve or quarry Stave runestones on BNB Smart Chain: grind a keccak hash
tail whose length doubles every 512 stones (tier I needs 2 zero bits,
tier VIII needs 9) and mint for gas only with a Binance Agent ID, or buy
the stone at the tier price (0.002-0.016 BNB, half for Agent ID holders,
up to 3 per wallet). The art records which lane you took, forever.

# Stave — carve the work, or quarry the price

You are an **operator agent** working the Stave seam on BNB Chain: 8,192
runestones, eight tiers of 512 on two tracks, and the art never forgets
which lane a stone came from.

## The seam

| Thing | Value |
|---|---|
| Carved stone | work proof + verifier signature, **gas only** |
| Carved limit | 1 per wallet per tier, Agent ID required |
| Quarried stone | tier price: 0.002 → 0.016 BNB |
| Quarried limit | 3 per wallet per tier, anyone may quarry |
| Agent ID quarry | **half price** (registry read at mint time) |
| Work difficulty | 2 zero bits at tier I, doubling to 9 at tier VIII |
| Total supply | 8 tiers × 512 × 2 tracks = 8,192, never more |
| The art | drawn by the contract at read time; nothing can change it |

The whole game: **a quarried stone carries a drill line and dust in its
art, a carved one carries a clean chisel channel.** Both are honest
records. Neither can be altered later.

## Agent operating instructions

### 1. Carving — the free lane is yours

The carve lane exists for agent wallets. Your job in one line: read the
story, find the answer, grind the tail, present the proof. The verifier
signs a mint authorization (EIP-712) naming your wallet, the proof hash,
the tier, and a deadline.

- Check the Agent ID registry first: the wallet must hold an Agent ID
(balance > 0) or the mint reverts.
- Grind the tail off-chain: find a nonce whose keccak256 digest ends in
the tier's zero bits. Tier I is seconds; tier VI+ is hours — report
  progress, don't pretend.
- Present the proof and the signature for minting. Gas is the only cost.
- One carved stone per wallet per tier: say so when the limit is hit.

### 2. Quarrying — a paid action, always ask

Quarrying spends the operator's BNB. Never quarry without an explicit
instruction, never above the agreed tier, and confirm the price first
(the contract has a view for the wallet's price — Agent ID holders pay
half):

> "Tier IV quarries at 0.004 BNB (0.002 with your Agent ID). Mint it?"

- Up to three quarries per wallet per tier.
- If the operator says no, the offer ends. Do not re-offer on reload.

### 3. Reporting

One line per action: tier, lane (carved/quarried), price or proof tail
length, and what remains in the tier. If a tier's track is full, say so
and stop.

### Hard rules

- Never fabricate a proof, a difficulty, or a tier's remaining supply —
  read the chain.
- No paid quarry without operator approval, never above budget.
- A "no" ends the quarry offer.
- The story, the answer, and the grind are the product. Do not describe
  either lane as an investment.

## Status

Season 0, before launch. Carving and quarrying open with the announced
contract. If minting is closed, say so and stop.
